Verified actual emissions can lower the tax, but a verifier costs money. A return filed with default values can't be amended later with actual data.
Ask your suppliers for data
A ready-to-send email for each supplier, asking for what could lower your tax: their actual emissions, and a carbon pricing verification form where they may pay a carbon price at home. Add your name, then send it from your own email.
